11th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot Scores in the Scope of SupportAnnual Sporting Clays Tournament to be held in Houston - March 27, 2010 For Immediate Release: February 19, 2010 HOUSTON – It's time to practice your shot; one of the largest sporting clays tournaments in the United States is scheduled in Houston. Hundreds of supporters are expected to compete in the Special Olympics Texas Sporting Clay Shoot Tournament, presented by Spark Energy, on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Rio Brazos Hunting Preserve in Simonton. Two flights of competition are available, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The cost is $125 per individual or $500 for a team of four. Men, women and youth (13-17 years old) are invited to participate in the event. The safe and fun event offers guided practice sessions with a certified instructor on March 26 for $65. With the support of our corporate partners last year, more than $161,000 was raised to support more than 3,551 athletes in the Greater Houston area. The100-target tournament features unique winners' awards, shooting games, silent auction, and complimentary breakfast, barbeque lunch and snacks make this shooting event one of the best in Texas.
